Eligibility
SWTEC Scholarship of Excellence
- The recipient must be a graduating senior from the high school associated with the scholarship's name; Eldorado High School, Menard High School, Sonora High School, Reagan County High School, Ozona High School, or Iraan High School
- The recipient must also be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a Texas Education Agency-approved accredited university, college, technical school, or trade school.
- The scholarship will be sent directly to the registrar or financial aid officer at the institution where you are enrolled.
SWTEC Trade Workers of Tomorrow Scholarship
- Students must reside in the service territory we serve and attend one of the following high schools: Eldorado High School, Menard High School, Sonora High School, Reagan County High School, Ozona High School, or Iraan High School.
- The recipient must be enrolled in a technical or trade school program.
- The scholarship will be sent directly to the registrar or financial aid officer at the institution where you are enrolled.
SWTEC Members’ Scholarship
- To be eligible, the applicant’s parent(s)/guardian(s) must live in the primary residence of a SWTEC member. This member must be in good standing, which is defined as a member who has paid all bills to the cooperative for which they are legally responsible.
- The scholarship will be sent directly to the registrar or financial aid officer at the institution where you are enrolled.
Selection Process/Criteria
All applications must be submitted in full by April 15, 2025, as they will be reviewed by an impartial Scholarship Committee which will select the winners based on the following criteria:
- - Academic Performance
- - Community Involvement
- - Extracurricular Activities
- - College and Career Goals
- - Essay
- Complete the application form and essay in full
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Current, official high school transcript.
- Headshot photo
Media Coverage
Scholarship winner images and names may be featured on our website, social media channels, in the SWTEC pages of Texas Co-op Power magazine, and shared with area news media. Winners must submit a recent photo of themselves (class photo preferred) and may also be asked to have their photos taken at SWTEC.
